Click & Collect Websites for independent food shopsTake collection orders on your own website. No commission, ever.
For farm shops, butchers, bakeries and greengrocers. We build your ordering shop, host it and look after it. You keep every penny of every order, and the customers are yours.

We're taking on five shops before Christmas. Sign up by 17th November and you'll be taking orders by 1st December.
Busy is good. Losing orders isn't.
Most independent food shops take orders the hard way, or pay someone else for every one.
The phone never stops
Orders scribbled on paper during the Saturday rush, missed calls, and a basket of "did they say two or three?"
Someone takes a cut
Ordering platforms charge per order, so the bill grows every time you have a good week. Marketplaces keep your customers' details too.
DIY eats your evenings
Online shop builders are made for posting parcels, not for collection days, time slots and "sold by the kilo". Making them fit is a job in itself.
What your customers see, and what you see
Your shop, with your products, your collection times and your branding. Here's an order from start to finish.
They browse your shop on their phone or computer
Photos, descriptions and your categories, laid out like a proper shop. Customers tap to add things to their basket, any time of day.
- Photo cards, or a quick list for regulars who know what they want
- Sell by the item, the kilo, the pack or the box
- Show prices, or let them reserve and pay on collection
- Favourites make the weekly shop quicker

They pick where and when to collect
Only the days and times you open are offered, and once a slot is full it closes by itself. No more twenty people turning up at once.
- One collection point or several
- Set how many orders each time slot can take
- Choose your order deadline, like 1pm the day before

Every order lands in one tidy list
You get an email the moment an order comes in, and they all sit in one place, sorted by collection day and time. Nothing written on the back of an envelope.
- Filter by collection point and day
- See who's paid and who's paying on collection
- Export orders whenever you need them

Pack it, mark it ready, and they're told
Print the order to pack from, then mark it ready. Your customer gets an email straight away, so they know when to come in.
- Print any order for packing
- Send the customer a message if something's out of stock
- Mark it collected when they've been

Click and collect for butchers, bakeries, farm shops and greengrocers
Every shop takes orders a little differently. We set yours up the way you already work.
Butchers
Christmas turkeys and joints ordered online instead of on paper forms. Sell by the kilo or by the joint, let customers leave a note about the cut they want, and add extra collection days for Christmas week.
Bakeries
Bake-day pre-orders with a deadline, say 2pm the day before, so you know how much to bake. Bread, cakes and pastries with photos, marked sold out when they've gone.
Farm shops
Meat, veg, eggs and hampers in one shop, with as many collection points as you need: the farm shop, the farm gate or a village car park.
Greengrocers and market stalls
Sell by the kilo, the pound, the bunch or the item. If prices change every day, hide them: customers reserve online and pay when they collect, just like C.C. Wells.
Delis and cheese shops
Cheese by weight, platters and hampers ordered ahead for weekends, parties and Christmas, ready to collect at a time that suits you.
Fishmongers
Weekend and Christmas seafood ordered ahead, sold by weight or by the piece. When weights vary, customers pay at collection.
We built the software for our own clients first.
Norwich Website Design has been building websites for local businesses for years. When our food clients kept asking for a simple way to take collection orders, nothing out there fitted, so we built BoxCart.
We're based in Norwich, Norfolk, and work with food shops all over the UK.
Then other web developers wanted it for their clients, so we released it for them. Now we set it up for shops directly: the same software, built, hosted and looked after by the people who wrote it.
- Built for our clientsCollection days, time slots and products sold by weight, made for real local shops.
- Released as BoxCartUsed by WordPress developers to build ordering shops for their own clients.
- Now done for youWe set it up, host it and support it, so you can get back to running the shop.
Two ways to get started. One simple monthly fee.
Prices are shown up front, so you know where you stand before we talk.

Your price doesn't go up when you get busy.
Pay-per-order platforms charge a monthly fee plus a fee for every order over their allowance. We just charge the monthly fee.
£49 a month for 100 orders, + 49p × 200 more
That's £5,145 over three years
£45 a month, however many orders you take
✓ The same at 50 orders or 5,000That's £2,370 over three years, setup included
At 300 orders a month, you'd keep £2,775 over three years with BoxCart.
All prices exclude VAT. The pay-per-order figures use a published UK price, checked in October 2026: £49 a month including 100 orders, then 49p an order, with the first month free. Our three-year figure includes the £750 Ordering Shop setup fee. Taking fewer than about 140 orders a month? A pay-per-order platform can cost less over three years.
Why shops choose us
No commission. Ever.
No per-order fees and no percentage. Your 1,000th order a month costs the same as your first.
You own it
Your website, your domain, your customer list. If you ever leave, you take it all with you. That's in the contract.
Made by the people who wrote it
We make BoxCart. When you need something fixed or added, you're talking to the developers, not a support queue.
C.C. Wells of Norfolk
A family fruit and veg business for more than 50 years, with collections from their Dereham warehouse and car parks in Watton, Bungay and Sheringham. In October 2026 we rebuilt their website and moved their online ordering onto BoxCart. All their orders, around 200 a month, now come in through it.

Questions shops ask us
Do I need a website already?
No. The Ordering Shop works on its own at its own address, or choose Shop + Website and we'll build you a full site as well.
My website is on Wix or Squarespace. Is that a problem?
Not at all. Your ordering shop lives at shop.yourname.co.uk, so your current site stays exactly as it is. We just add a link to it and give you one setting to change with your domain provider (we'll send exact instructions).
Can customers pay by card?
Yes, through Stripe, and you can also offer pay on collection or bank transfer. Card fees are charged by Stripe, not us.
I sell things by weight. Does that work?
Yes. Customers can order by the kilo, by the pound, by the bunch or by the item, in the steps you choose.
Can I take Christmas pre-orders?
Yes. Customers order ahead online, you set an order deadline, and you can add extra collection days just for Christmas week, each with its own times.
I don't show prices because they change every day. Can I still take orders?
Yes. You can hide prices and let customers reserve what they want, then pay on collection. That's how C.C. Wells works.
What if I have 200 products?
No problem. We load all your products for you, whether you have 10 or 300, and it's all included in the setup fee. We can work from a spreadsheet or your existing shop.
Do you work with shops outside Norfolk?
Yes. We're based in Norwich, but everything is done online, so we work with food shops anywhere in the UK.
Can I leave?
Yes. After the 12-month minimum term it's month to month, and you can leave with 30 days' notice. You keep your website, domain and customer data, and we'll hand everything over.
Who owns my customers' data?
You do. We look after it on your behalf under a data processing agreement, and you can export it at any time.
